Restylane is the trade name for a specific formulation, used for lip augmentation.
Restylane is injected under wrinkles and aging lines of the face such as the, nasolabial folds (nose/mouth lines) melomental folds (crows feet) and forehead wrinkles. It may also be used for filling aging-related facial hollows and under eye areas around the eyes.
The process has a fast recovery time of 2 to 3 days. However, it is not permanent; reapplication is recommended approximately every six months.

The ideal lip filler would be soft, pliable and permanent, while at the same time removable, inexpensive and complication-free in any patient.
